Joslin Garden

William and Mary Coker Joslin always believed that parks and greenways are a large part of what makes Raleigh a vibrant and healthy place to live. Donating their home and garden to the City of Oaks Foundation, the Joslin family had a vision to give all visitors another natural haven from urban life, with the hope that the Joslin Garden will provide a place where environmental awareness and conservation can be nurtured through education and the joy of a deep connection with the natural world.

Today, after years of planning and work with city government, the City of Oaks Foundation has now made Joslin Garden a public park. Joslin Garden and Joslin House are now owned by the City of Raleigh's Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department. You can connect directly the offical website for Joslin Garden here. The Joslin House remains the headquarters of the City of Oaks Foundation, and the Foundation hosts a number of special events at the Garden each year, and manages rental of the Joslin House and Joslin Garden for private events.

Be sure to check our Events page for the latest exciting programs taking place at Joslin Garden, or sign up for our mailing list.

Both Joslin Garden and Joslin House may be rented for private events. No private events are being scheduled over the months or July or August of 2023, however after that, rentals of the outdoor and indoor spaces are available through the Foundation.
